Andy Holden‘s work incorporates a wide variety of media and forms of presentation, from plaster, bronze and ceramic objects, to music, performance and large outdoor sculpture. Recent exhibitions include Pyramid Piece and Return of the Pyramid Piece for Art Now at Tate Britain and Chewy Cosmos Thingly Time at Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge.
Peter Holden worked for the RSPB for 40 years and has written numerous books on ornithology, including the RSPB Handbook of British Birds and the RSPB Handbook of Garden Wildlife. He regularly lectures on many aspects of ornithology and was awarded an MBE for services to conservation in 2009.
Lecture on Nesting was the second of three collaborative projects between father and son and explores, through a 50-minute presentation, the materials, structures and processes involved in the construction of birds nests.
